An annual celebration of everything we care about and want to protect from the worst impacts of the climate crisis.

Every February, people from across the UK use the power of green hearts to join together and ask politicians to put aside their differences and tackle the climate crisis.

 

Ways To Show The Love

Make, Wear, Share Green Hearts

Get creative and make a green heart. Share it with friends and family and post on social media, using the hashtag #ShowTheLove.

Create a Green Heart Window Display

Why not decorate a window, noticeboard or front garden with green hearts over the Valentine’s Day weekend – the 12th to 15th February to show the love to your community. Take a photo and share using the hashtag #ShowTheLove.

Ask your MPs to Show the Love

Send the postcard from your February WI Life magazine to your MP asking them to speak up for stronger climate action.  If you’ve made a green heart attach it to your postcard.

Attend an Event

In Conservation: A discussion with the National Trust and RSPB

Join our Chair of Public Affairs, Anne Jones for a discussion and a Q&A session with representatives from the National Trust and the RSPB to hear more about their important nature conservation work, their plans for COP26 and ways you can take action to protect our natural world from home

Craftivism and Climate Action – the Power of Gentle Protest

Friday 19th February 1pm – 2pm

Join Sarah Corbett, founder of the Craftivist Collective, the climate coalition’s Campaign Director, Clara Goldsmith and the NFWI Chair of Public Affairs, Anne Jones to hear more about the power of craftivism and your crafted green hearts and how you can use your crafting skills to call for urgent climate action throughout 2021.
