Culture Club
We are lucky to live close to several theatres, one of which is Titchfield Festival Theatre. This is a very well established amateur theatre who not only put on contemporary plays, but during the summer also put on several classics at the Great Barn, Titchfield.
Our second local theatre is Fareham Live which reopened in 2024 and is home to popular musical, drama and comedy shows to name a few. As a group we recently had a thoroughly enjoyable back-stage tour, highly recommended.
The Jambusters regularly check these theatres for shows that we think our members would enjoy so watch this space for upcoming events.
2025 Upcoming Events
In October we are going to see Silverlining, a comedy by Sandi Toksvig, about five extraordinary yet forgotten women who gather one dark and stormy night to recreate The Great Escape - senior citizen style. In the upper day room of the Silver Retirement Home, five elderly women are trading stories of their remarkable (or sometimes unremarkable) lives. With the storm floods rising and no rescue team in sight, the ladies are faced with the sudden realisation that in order to survive they are going to have to do what they have done for their entire lives - do it themselves!
